Fortnite is among the Battle Royale games which is the most popular for its design when it comes to in-game cosmetics. They’re recognised for combining pop culture elements or releasing highly inspired skins.

This is one of the reasons why players spend their hard-earned V-Bucks to load their locker with their favourite skins from the Item Shop. Apart from that, the player base has seen skins inspired by movies make their way into the game since the game’s early days. However, with the surge in popularity of anime around the world, users have recently received skins based on popular series.

The popular figure “Gingerbread Man” from the film Shrek served as inspiration for this skin. It appears to be a carbon copy of the character that sprang to life in the Item Shop. The skin gained popularity thanks to the use of memes and funny content by Australian Youtuber “LAZARBEAM.” The Merry Marauder skin is one of the most popular holiday skins in Fortnite.

Relaxed Fit Jonesy

Jonesy has an appearance that is quite similar to Chris Hemsworth’s “Thor” in Avengers: Endgame. The casual fit in the film was inspired by Jeff Bridges’ character Lebowski in the film The Big Lebowski. When the skin was first introduced, the round belly, black shades, and scarlet blonde hair with a dad bod were all jokes among the player community.

Reaper

The legendary Reaper skin was one of Fortnite’s first popular skins inspired by a movie. The skin’s likeness to the Boogeyman himself, “John Wick,” was immediately noticed by the player community. The skin was dressed in the same assassin outfit that he wears in the movies, which further contributed to its overall elegance.

Epic later added the Keanu variation to the Item Shop.

Drift : Fortnite Skins

Drift was one of the most popular OG skins offered in a Battle Pass by Fortnite. The design was inspired by Team 7’s Sensei “Kakashi Hatake,” who went on to become the Hokage in the anime series “Naruto.” Because of the unique style of their masks, both anime fans and players noticed it. Kakashi’s skin was later made available in the item shop, however players still found Drift and Kakashi to be somewhat similar.

Azuki : Fortnite Skins

Azuki, a skin that was recently published in Chapter 3, was inspired by “Beerus,” a character from the popular anime Dragon Ball Z.

The skin and the anime character share a striking resemblance in appearance. Fans of the anime property immediately recognised this skin and purchased it from the Fortnite Item Shop.

Charlotte : Fortnite Skins

In Chapter 2 Season 8, Charlotte was a Battle Pass skin. It bore a striking resemblance to a character from the popular anime Demon Slayer.

Her “Hagiri” chosen style corresponds to Serpent Hashira aka Iguro Obanai from the anime. Not only that, but the pickaxe in her cosmetic set looks a lot like the sword “Nichirin Blade” from ‘Demon Slayer,’ which is mostly used to slay demons.
