The race for Premier League table positions is gaining steam. Whether it’s the race to the top of the table, a place in Europe, or a relegation scrap, it’s all getting extremely fascinating. Every team has its own battle to fight for in the final weeks of the season. With not many matches left this campaign, each point counts. Whether it is to secure the European places or stay in the top flight, teams have to give their all in the coming weeks to be able to meet their targets. There are several eye-catching Premier League fixtures to look out for this weekend, but it does not get any better than the top-of-the-table battle between Manchester City and Liverpool.

Everton vs Manchester United (Kick-off time: 5pm IST, Saturday)

Red Devils traveling to Merseyside will be the first encounter on an action-packed Saturday. This match holds massive significance for both teams for various reasons. Manchester United need three points to keep their fading dreams of a top-four place alive, while Everton have to find a way to steer clear of the bottom three relegation places. Keeping in mind the poor run Everton are currently on, the home advantage will mean little in this clash.

Arsenal vs Brighton (Kick-off time: 7:30pm IST, Saturday)

This is another massive clash in the top four race. Arsenal were the favourites for the coveted fourth spot in the Premier League table a little while ago. However, two defeats – Liverpool and Crystal Palace – in recent weeks have put the Gunners in a spot of bother. They are on the same points as fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur but have an inferior goal difference. However, the Gunners have a game in hand. Moreover, they will be looking to bounce back quickly from Monday night’s disappointing result. For Brighton, their Premier League safety is almost guaranteed. The remaining matches will be used to climb as high as possible in the table.

Southampton vs Chelsea (Kick-off time: 7:30pm IST, Saturday)

This clash will mean more for Chelsea than Southampton. Sitting 12th in the table, the Saints are neither close to the European places nor the drop zone. It is just a matter of how many more points they can collect this season and how far up can they move in the table. Chelsea, on the other hand, will be heading into the match on the back of humiliating defeats to Brentford and Chelsea. The two heavy losses have derailed the momentum Thomas Tuchel’s side built in recent weeks. They will be eager to bounce back with three points from this clash.

Aston Villa vs Tottenham Hotspur (Kick-off time: 10pm IST, Saturday)

This is another interesting clash to keep an eye on this weekend. Aston Villa are 11th in the Premier League table and have the same points as Southampton. They cannot move much higher in the table, meaning they have very little to play for in the remaining matches. But the same cannot be said for Tottenham. Antonio Conte’s side are currently sitting fourth in the table but Arsenal and Manchester United are breathing down their neck. Anything but a win in this match can cause a major problem for their top-four ambitions.

Manchester City vs Liverpool (Kick-off time: 9pm IST, Sunday)

This is undoubtedly the most-anticipated clash of the weekend. Many went as far as dubbing it the “Premier League final.” Going into this fixture, both teams are separated by only one point. City are just about edging Liverpool to the top spot, but Jurgen Klopp’s side or on a dream run. This match, however, is happening at the Etihad Stadium, which would normally give the Citizens a slight advantage. But in these fixtures, anything can happen. Regardless of the outcome, fans are in for a massive feast on Sunday.
