Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan: Afghanistan T20I records and stats at Harare Sports Club

Zimbabwe are hosting Afghanistan for the three-match T20I series at the Harare Sports Club. The Afghanistan tour of Zimbabwe 2022 included three ODI matches and as many T20Is. The clash against Afghanistan comes after the hosts lost five-match T20I series 2-3 to Namibia. It was a historic win for Namibia as they clinched their first T20I series victory against any nation since their inception into the game. 

Their poor run continued in the limited-overs series against Afghanistan as well as the lost the ODI series by a 0-3 margin before losing the first two T20Is. However, Zimbabwe will be looking to field a strong side against Afghanistan who have risen up to the full status in style from being an associate nation. The visitors have named their 16-man squad along with two travelling reserves. Former captain and all-rounder Gulbadin Naib has been dropped from the ODI squad with left-arm spinner Zia ur Rahman Akbar for the forthcoming ODI series against Zimbabwe.
