The thirteenth match of WPL 2023 will be played between Delhi Capitals Women and Royal Challengers Bangalore Women at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on March 15. UP Warriorz have won 2 games so far out of 4 whereas Royal Challengers Bangalore Women lost all of the 5 games they have played so far.

In their last game against Mumbai Indians, UP Warriorz posted 159 runs where the table-toppers took only 17.3 overs to reach the target. Yastika Bhatia (42), Nat Sciver-Brunt (45), and Harmanpreet Kaur (53) all contributed and sealed the deal. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women lost to Delhi Capitals Women despite scoring 150 runs on the scoreboard. Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh stepped in but the lack of contribution from others cost them the game as well. However, they will hope to register their first win tomorrow as well.

Alyssa Healy said after their loss: “We were probably 16-20 short, we just couldn’t finish well and probably a batter short. It wasn’t an easy wicket, we couldn’t find the boundary as often as we would have liked. We will see how we can be better. We will turn up in 2 days time, play RCB and move on. We want to be a really good fielding side and take opportunities. We are working really hard, trying really hard which is what we want to be as a team and hopefully the results go our way.”

Smriti Mandhana, RCB captain said: “Really good effort by our bowlers to take it till the 20th over. Definitely a lot of improvements but a lot of things to work on still. The partnership got us into the game, they both batted brilliantly. They used their experience to get us to a defendable total. Not the best of the starts, including my batting. The first 14 overs really hurt us, even 10-15 runs more would have helped. Towards the fag-end of the tournament, the wickets are going to get slower. Even in the last game, spinners got the ball to turn and pace-off and slower balls were working.”
