The eleventh match of WPL 2023 will be played between Delhi Capitals Women and Royal Challengers Bangalore Women at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on March 13. Delhi Capitals are placed second in the points table with 3 wins whereas Royal Challengers Bangalore Women are placed last in the points table as well. after losing all 4 games so far as well.

Delhi Capitals won two back-to-back matches before losing to Mumbai Indians in their third game before bouncing back in the fourth game where they beat Gujarat Giants by 10 wickets as well. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women faced a rather forgettable defeat to UP Warriorz by 10 wickets as well.

Meg Lanning, Delhi Capitals captain said: “That was a pretty cool show to watch from the other end. I was just cheerleading from the other end. Some of the best hitting I’ve seen. I said just keep it simple. Stay still and hit the ball straight. I’m still to get over it. It seemed like a new ball wicket. We just had to make sure what we had to do. Shafali didn’t make it look very difficult. Those sort of chases can be tricky if you go into a shell. Kapp’s natural length is one that works on a wicket like this. She was excellent today, I love watching her bowl. She was frustrated with her performances so far – she shouldn’t have been.”

Smriti Mandhana, RCB captain said after the defeat: “In the last four games it’s been happening. We start well and then lose a cluster of wickets. I take the blame as well. Need to get runs on the board for the bowlers to defend. Overs 7-15 we spoke about getting 7-8 per over. Didn’t work out today. We’re trying to get a balanced team. Let’s see how it goes. I’ve tried to speak to all the players about it. We’ll have to keep doing it. Last one week has been really tough on the team. Lots to reflect, lots to work on. Should admit last week has been really tough. Lot of people have reached out to me. As international cricketers we have faced these situations. I have my family around me.”
