The Indian Premier League has seen 13 editions being played. In this period, there have been plenty of players who have gotten massive recognition. Many international players have managed to get recognition purely due to the competitive nature of the IPL. Many foreign leagues were created due to the IPL. However, the depth of talent that is present in India has all come to the fore due to the IPL.

In the IPL, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, David Warner, Chris Gayle, Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni and Shikhar Dhawan are legends. In the bowling, Lasith Malinga, Harbhajan Singh, R Ashwin, Dwayne Bravo, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have dominated.

When it comes to title wins, Rohit’s Mumbai Indians are by far the most dominant team in the tournament. With five title wins, they are easily ahead of their rivals Chennai Super Kings, captained by MS Dhoni. CSK has three titles to their credit. They are followed by Kolkata Knight Riders with two. Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals and Deccan Chargers have one win each.

It is difficult to gauge who is the most dangerous batsmen in the history of the IPL. Judging these players on sheer numbers is not enough. The danger level of the batsman needs to be judged on all-round impact. The aggression quotient and how he can change the course of the game on a consistent basis

Who is the most dangerous batsman in IPL?

In IPL 2020, we saw the dominance of the Mumbai Indians in all facets. Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult were bowlers par excellence while Rahul Chahar offered stability in the spin department. James Pattinson and Nathan Coulter-Nile made up a decent back-up for the bowlers. In the batting, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Quinton de Kock and Krunal Pandya all were match-winners.

However, the glue that holds the dominance together is Rohit. His arrival in the Mumbai Indians camp transformed them from bridesmaid to dominance. Rohit Sharma at the top and his captaincy skills have seen Mumbai Indians win five titles. In tough situations, Mumbai Indians bring out their best and that is only because of Rohit Sharma.

With the bat, he has hit 213 sixes, which is more than Kohli, Warner, Raina and less than Dhoni. Rohit might not be on par with Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Kohli, Raina or Warner but the impact is simply marvellous.

De Villiers might be Mr 360, Gayle is the ultimate T20 monster, Dhoni is a finisher par-excellence and Kohli is the run-machine. But when it comes to impact, Rohit leaves everyone behind. Rohit IS the most dangerous player in the history of the IPL due to the dominance of Mumbai Indians.
