Shahrukh Khan is a professional cricketer, who plays in India. Shahrukh was born on 27 May, 1995. He comes from the Chennai city of the state, Tamil Nadu, India. It was on December 6, 2018, when he played his first-class debut match for Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy for the 2018–19 season. Shahrukh was a member of the Tamil Nadu team that won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2021. They played so well that they were undefeated throughout the season. He plays domestic cricket for Tamil Nadu in different trophies like, Ranji trophy and Vijay Hazare trophy. It was on February 27, 2014, when Shahrukh played his List A debut match for Tamil Nadu in the 2013–14 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Shahrukh in 2016 faced a setback for the first time, when he wasn’t called for the under 19 World Cup. His performance was outstanding throughout the season. He made 624 runs and took 18 wickets. Later when he wasn’t called for the under 19 World Cup, he got the chance to play the Vijay Hazare trophy for the Tamil Nadu’s side. He debuted in his T20 match in the Vijay Hazare trophy just after when he was not selected for under 19 and scored 20 runs off just 8 balls, but his team ended up losing the match. Tamil Nadu Premier League was launched soon later, which gave Shahrukh another chance to showcase his ability to bat and ball. He was selected by the Trichy franchise in the TNPL.

Shahrukh was sold to the Punjab Kings franchise of Indian Premier League in the auction that took place for 2022 IPL season in February 2022. Shahrukh made 194 runs for Tamil Nadu against Delhi in the opening round of the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy later that month. It was on April 12, 2021, when Shahrukh faced the Rajasthan Royals in his IPL debut and hit a six from four balls and remained not out. Chris Gayle, popularly known as Universe Boss, an icon of International cricket and in IPL, gave Shahrukh his first IPL cap. Shahrukh was one of the 2 standby players in India’s team for their T20 International home series against West Indies in January 2022.

Shahrukh has played a total of 20 IPL matches till now, in which he has managed to score a total of 281 runs. Before the mega auction of IPL 2022, Shahrukh was not retained by Punjab Kings, he was dropped. But at the time of the auction, he was bought back by the Punjab Kings. Shahrukh didn’t get the chance to bowl in IPL yet, as he has quite a good record in bowling as well in domestic cricket. Shahrukh Khan admires cricketer Dinesh Karthik a lot, as he believes that he is a great finisher. He says that Dinesh has played a huge role in molding his game as a finisher. Shahrukh Khan is a young and talented all rounder. He can prove to be an important player in IPL and other formats if given enough opportunities.
