Sadeera Samarawickrama, a talented Sri Lankan cricketer, proudly represents his country in limited-overs matches. He is recognized for his abilities as a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. Born on May 2, 1993, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Samarawickrama began his first-class career with Sinhalese Sports Club in March 2012. He made his List A debut for Sri Lanka A in February 2013, followed by his Twenty20 debut in October 2013.

Samarawickrama made his international debut for Sri Lanka in the semi-final match against India during the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 tournament on March 28, 2014. He scored one run and also took one wicket in that game. He continued to play for Sri Lanka in the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, participating in four matches and scoring a total of 27 runs. Samarawickrama made his Test debut against Pakistan in September 2017. He scored a half-century in his second Test match and has since established himself as a regular member of the Sri Lankan Test team.

In 2017, Samarawickrama represented Sri Lanka in the ICC Champions Trophy. He played in a single match and scored a total of 14 runs. Samarawickrama was selected once again to represent Sri Lanka in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. He played one match and added 13 runs to the team’s score. Samarawickrama is still developing as a cricketer, but he has the potential to be a star player for Sri Lanka in all three formats of the game. He is a hard worker and is always looking to improve his game.
