His outstanding performance caught the attention of selectors, leading to his inclusion in the Bangladesh A squad that embarked on a tour of Sri Lanka in January 2019. This tour is a monumental moment for Ahmed, as it signifies his grand entrance into the List A format for Bangladesh.
