The talented youngster, Vivrant Sharma, who was a hardly known player earlier has taken the limelight away from others in the IPL 2023 mini-auction in Kochi on Friday (December 23). Not many knew about him when his name was announced during the auction but everyone will remember his name by the time Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him for a decent price of Rs 2.6 crore as well.

However, Vivrant Sharma is a young all-rounder from the state of Jammu & Kashmir. The youngster is still a rookie cricketer in senior cricket and he has so far played 2 first-class, 14 List A and 9 T20s for his state team as well. Meanwhile, he also made his first-class debut recently in the Ranji Trophy game against Madhya Pradesh as well. Moreover, his List A debut came against Saurashtra in 2021. Notably, Vivrant played his first T20 against Andhra Pradesh in 2021 as well.

However, the left-handed batsman has 72 runs in 2 Ranji Trophy matches to his name. He has scored 519 runs and claimed 8 wickets in 14 50-over matches as well. In 9 T20s, he has smashed 191 runs and picked up 6 wickets as well. It is also noteworthy that, his maiden List A century for his side came in the winning cause on November 23 as well.
