Riley Meredith is a professional cricketer who plays for Australia Internationally. Riley plays his domestic cricket for Tasmania. He also plays in the Big Bash league, a famous T20 tournament of Australia. Riley is a right arm fast bowler and a right handed batsman. Riley was born on 21 June 1996. He comes from Hobart, Tasmania, situated in Australia. He made his International debut for Australia in the year 2021. Riley is known for consistently bowling at a speed of 140 or above. Because of consistent fast bowling, it becomes difficult for the batsmen to score runs against him. It was on 17 November, 2017 when Riley played his first class debut match for Tasmania in the 2017-18 Sheffield Shield. Riley got to play his T20 debut match for Hobart Hurricanes on 1 February, 2018 in the 2017-18 Big Bash League season. Riley was on the Indian Premier League table as well and was sold to Punjab Kings in the auction on 1 February, 2021. In the mega auction of Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2022, he was sold to the Mumbai Indians. In the year 2022, April month, Riley was bought by London Spirits in the tournament named The 100, which takes place in England. Adam Griffith rates Riley very high, as he has seen him improving considerably since his debut in domestic cricket.

It was in January, 2021, when Riley Meredith, for the first time was selected in the Australia’s T20 International team for their series against New Zealand. On 3rd of March, he played his T20I debut match. Riley got to play in the One Day Internationals as well, when his name was selected in the Australia’s team for their series against West Indies and Bangladesh. On 22 July, 2021 when he was about to play his debut match against West Indies, the match got suspended due to the Covid positive results in the West Indian team’s. The same match took place after a couple of days and Riley got his ODI debut. Riley is a young and talented fast bowler.
