Mohammad Hafeez is a former international cricketer who used to play for Pakistan. Hafeez was a dynamic batsman who used to bat anywhere in the top six and also contributed to the bowling attack. He spent most of his career as a spin bowling all-rounder, and he was part of one of the strongest spin attacks of the 2010s with Saeed Ajmal and Shahid Afridi. He announced his retirement from Test cricket after the third and final match against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi in December 2018, leaving the stadium in white attire to a guard of honour from his teammates. On 3 January 2022, he announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket, capping an 18-year career. Hafeez creates a distinct legacy in sports.

Hafeez is often known for his skills with the white ball, but he also played in 55 Tests for Pakistan. He has played 218 ODIs and 119 T20Is. He was well known for his ability to score swiftly with the bat. He used to play in his own style of hitting big shots, and was surely a successful in that. He was very skilful with the ball. His off-spin bowling was primarily part-time, but it became more frequent eventually in his career. His bowling, though, did not have the same impact in his latter years. This was due to the fact that he’d been reported several times for an unusual activity. He tried on retooling his action, but this had a negative effect on his overall bowling. Yet, he would roll his arm over as necessary. His final game for Pakistan happened in the 2021 T20 World Cup semi-finals. Pakistan got eliminated from the tournament after losing to Australia. Hafeez also represented the Lahore Qalandars in the PSL.
