David Miller is professional cricketer, who represents South Africa Internationally. He usually is a part of limited overs game for South Africa. He was born on 10 June, 1989. He belongs to Pietermaritzburg region in Natal province of South Africa. He plays in several T20 leagues around the world. There was a time when Miller was one of the most fearsome batsmen in T20 formats. It was in 2007-08 domestic Supersport series, when Miller played his debut match in first class cricket for Dolphins. 

Miller scored a fifty in his first ever innings in first class cricket. It was on 3 June, 2018, when Miller was selected for the T20 Canada League for the Winnipeg Hawks. It was the first ever season of the league. Miller was selected in the Durban Heat team for the first ever season of Mzansi Super League, which is a T20 tournament. For the 2021-22 season in South Africa, he was selected in Kwazulu Natal team in April, 2021. In the Lanka Premier League, Miller was selected by the Dambulla Hawks in October 2020. It was the first season of the tournament. He plays for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League. In The Hundred, he plays for Welsh Fire.

It was after the series between South Africa A and Bangladesh A, where Miller was among the highest run scorers, he got a call for the National team. On 20 May, 2010 against West Indies in Antigua, Miller played his T20 International debut match for South Africa. It was the same series when Miller played his One Day International debut match. He made his first fifty in the ODI format against Zimbabwe on 15 October, 2010. With 95 runs partnership between Miller and Rory in 2013 Champions Trophy, they set the record of highest run partnership for the 9th wicket. In the 2015 World Cup, he was among the highest run scorers for South Africa with 324 runs. In the same World Cup with JP Duminy he set the record for highest 5th wicket partnership of 256 runs. 

In February, 2019, Miller was named as the captain of the team in a T20I series against Pakistan. He became a part of the 2019 South Africa’s World Cup team. Miller reached a milestone of 3000 ODI runs in a match against New Zealand in June, 2019. He also was a part of the 2021 T20 World Cup team of South Africa. Currently he is named as a regular captain of South Africa’s T20 team. It was on 15 October, 2017 when Miller reached a milestone of playing 100 ODI matches without ever playing a single Test match. He has played a total of 269 International matches for South Africa including ODI and T20 format, in which he has scored a total of 6104 runs.
