Anuj Rawat is a professional cricketer who aims to play for the Indian national team at the International stage. Anuj presently in domestic cricket plays for Delhi. Originally he belongs to a small village named Ramnagar, situated in the Uttarakhand state, India. Anuj in his early days shifted from Ramnagar to Delhi, to pursue his cricketing career. His father’s name is Virendra Pal Singh and he is a farmer in Ramnagar. Anuj shifted to Delhi when he was just 11 years old. He is a left handed batsman and a full time wicket keeper. Anuj Rawat has been a huge admirer of former Indian left handed batsman Gautam Gambhir. As Anuj told that, he got to learn a lot from Gambhir in the nets. Gambhir used to act as a slip in the nets when Anuj used to keep the wickets. Gambhir gave him many lessons on wicket keeping as how a wicket keeper should always learn about his bowlers and know their bowling patterns. Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma aided him in knowing the best position to do wicket keeping more effectively. He told him about the distance one should maintain from the wickets to carry the ball effortlessly. All the teachings from senior players helped Anuj a lot to improve his game even further.

It was in the 2019-20 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 4 October, 2019 when Anuj played his debut List A match for Delhi. Anuj’s first Indian Premier League (IPL) team was Rajasthan Royals, as he was bought by them before 2020 IPL season in the auction for 80 lakhs. In the mega auction of 2022 Indian Premier League season, Anuj was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for a whooping 3.40 crores. This was a huge success for a young talent like Anuj Rawat. He came into the limelight after being sold for such a huge amount in India’s biggest tournament. Anuj is a young and talented cricketer, who can turn out to be an important player in the IPL.
