Gambhir used to act as a slip in the nets when Anuj used to keep the wickets. Gambhir gave him many lessons on wicket keeping as how a wicket keeper should always learn about his bowlers and know their bowling patterns. Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma aided him in knowing the best position to do wicket keeping more effectively.
