Abdullah Shafique plays professional cricketer from Pakistan, he is a right-hand batter and bats at the top order, he represents the National team in the test format and T20 format. Abdullah Shafique made his National T20 Cup debut in 2020, where he featured under Kamran Akmal in Central Punjab. He was one of the top performers in the tournament and was the highest run-scorer for his team. In his debut match against South Punjabs, Shafique thrashed 102 unbeaten off 58 balls to help Central Punjab chase down 201 in the National T20 Cup. On the back of some brilliant performances, he got his maiden national call-up for the home series against Zimbabwe.

Shafique made use of the opportunity, scoring an unbeaten 41 on his T20I debut against Zimbabwe on November 10, 2020. Shafique was further added to the 35-man squad for their T20I tour to New Zealand in December 2020, where he registered ducks in both matches against a lethal New Zealand bowling attack. The opener has risen through the rank of domestic cricket and has become a prominent part of the Pakistan lineup. His ability to play attacking strokes at the top and make use of the powerplay makes him a valuable player. He is also a gun fielder, is one of the best in Pakistan at the moment.
