The Indian Cricket Team amassed a whopping 404 runs on the board. Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav collaborated for 92 runs. Ashwin scored 58 runs in 113 balls, hitting two fours and two sixes, while Kuldeep Yadav scored a career-high 40 runs in 114 balls, hitting five fours. Bangladesh Cricket Team made a disastrous start to their first innings, losing two wickets in 10 overs while scoring 37 runs. Siraj and Umesh bowled perfect lines and lengths, not giving the batsmen any freebies.

At the close of the day’s play, Bangladesh were far behind as they had lost 8 wickets. Mehidy was at the crease again trying to put some respect to their innings but the task looks difficult and it should not take a lot of time for India to clean up the rest of the batters. Earlier in the day, On the second day at Chattogram, R Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav were India’s surprising stars with the bat, as India concluded with 404 despite losing a well-set Shreyas Iyer early for 86. With a couple of early hits with the ball, India’s pacers reinforced their position of strength. Bangladesh, whose spinners had finished the opening day with two wickets in the final five overs, began with a different attacking strategy. The major enforcer was pacer Ebadot Hossain, who used short balls to target the experienced Shreyas Iyer and rookie R Ashwin.
