The league stage of the Vijay Hazare has come to an end with some thrilling battles and some mismatches. We are heading towards the business end of the tournament. The players who performed well will be rewarded in the upcoming IPL auction as the selectors and the IPL scouts will be having a keen eye on some of them. Here are the top 5 performers in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022.

N Jagadeesan

Jagadeesan finished the league stage as the leading scorer of the tournament with 822 runs in seven matches at a staggering average of 164.40 and a strike rate of 125.30. The keeper-batter hammered an unbelievable 277 (141 balls) against Arunachal Pradesh the highest individual score in List A cricket while becoming the first batter in history to score five successive List A centuries.

B Sai Sudharsan

Sai Sudharsan’s performances have been overshadowed by his opening partner N Jagadeesan who is just been unbelievable. Sudharsan is having an equally brilliant season scoring 586 runs at an average of 83.71 with three centuries and two half-centuries, he finished as the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament.

Kuldeep Sen

Kuldeep Sen finished as the top wicket-taker in the group stages with 18 scalps in six matches at a strike rate of 14.2 which has earnt him a spot in the India team for the ODI series in Bangladesh, starting December 4.

Rahul Tripathi

Rahul Tripathi keeps improving with every passing season. Tripathi scored 512 runs at an average of 128 and smashed three centuries and two half-centuries. He always seems to go under the radar despite putting up consistent performances both in the Indian domestic circuit and the IPL.

Shahbaz Ahmed

Shabaz Ahmed made useful contributions with the bat and ball, Ahmed got valuable runs lower down the order and picked up 11 wickets at strike rate of 28 and an economy of 4.87. He scored two fifties in the four innings he batted in. Shabaz has been included in the India ODI squad for the Bangladesh series as well.
