The sixth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2022 started with a bang on June 23 (Thursday) recently and it has been taking place in six venues among 8 teams as well. So far 8 games have been played and 24 more matches will be played with the final taking place on July 31, 2022. However, the 14th match of TNPL 2022 will be played between Nellai Royal Kings vs IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans at SNR College Cricket Ground in Coimbatore on July 10, Sunday. While Nellai Royal Kings top the chart with 6 points to their name, IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans have 2 points in their name so far in TNPL 2022.
Nellai Royal Kings last played against Dindigul Dragons and registered a win by 8 wickets as well. Nellai Royal Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first in the rain-curtailed game. The Dindigul Dragons got off to a flying start with Vishal Vaidhya (45) and captain Hari Nishanth (37). But their dismissals witnessed a collapse and finished their innings on 130/5 as well. While chasing, the Royal Kings had a shaky start. They lost both their openers within the first five overs but then Aparajith (59) and Yadav (55*) scored the half-centuries to help chase down the total with one over in hand as well.

IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans last took on Ruby Trichy Warriors and won by 4 wickets as well. Tamizhans won the toss and opted to bowl first. While the Warriors got off to a steady start with Amit Sathvik and Murali Vijay scoring 26 and 34 respectively, others failed to contribute. However, a late cameo from M Mathivannan – 27* off 18 helped them cross the 150-run mark. While chasing 158 runs, the Tamizhans lost their openers quickly but Subramanian Anand (35), Maan Bafna (26), Tushar Raheja (42* off 26) and M Mohammed (29*) sealed the deal with seven deliveries to spare.
