Indian batsman Shubman Gill took to Twitter to share a photo of him receiving the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. “Get your superpowers upgraded as soon as you are able to. Massive shoutout to all the doctors and frontline workers for putting in all the effort,” wrote the batsman along with the picture. Gill posted a picture of himself getting vaccinated and urged all his fans to get their superpowers upgraded. The KKR talent also lauded the work of all the doctors and frontline workers for putting in all the effort.

Gill is slated to travel to the UK for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand. It will then be followed by a five-match Test series against England. The opening batsman is a part of the 18-man squad selected by Board of Control for Cricket in India. The WTC final takes place between June 18 to 22 at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. June 23 is kept as a reserve day.

What’s next for Shubman Gill?

The youngster had an incredible inning in Australia earlier this year. It was a four-match Test series that India won 2-1 after a historic win in Brisbane in the fourth Test.

Chasing over 300 for the win, Gill’s 91 runs on Day 5 made a crucial impact. With the result, India managed to breach the Gabba fortress and win the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

Gill has played seven Test matches in his career so far and has scored 378 runs. His average is of 34.36.
