Record Ranji trophy champions Mumbai will take on Uttar Pradesh in the second-semi-final at the Just Cricket Academy Ground, Bengaluru, starting from June 14. The first semi-final will, meanwhile, take place between Madhya Pradesh and the winners of the contest between quarter-finalists Bengal and Jharkhand. Bengal have taken an upper hand in the contest and look likely to qualify for the semi-finals. 

Mumbai outclassed Uttarakhand by 725 runs to clinch victory in the second quarter-finals. The record champions set a first-class record for highest margin of victory by overcoming New South Wales’ previous standing record of 685 when they defeated Queensland in a Sheffield Shield match 92 years ago. Uttar Pradesh, meanwhile, defeated Karnataka by five wickets to book their spot in the semi-finals.
