Kyle Rico Mayers was born on 8th September 1992. He is a West Indian cricketer and plays for his home-side Barbados. He was also a part of the West Indies under-19 squad for the 2012 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In February 2021, on his Test debut, he had scored an unbeaten 210 as well.

Kyle Mayers made his Test debut on 3rd February 2021 vs Bangladesh whereas he made his debut in the ODI format on 20th January 2021 against the same opponent as well. His T20I debut came against New Zealand on 29th November 2020.
In October 2019, he was named in the Barbados squad for the 2019–20 Regional Super50 tournament. In November 2019, he had travelled to Ft Lauderdale, Florida to participate in the US Open. He played for the Paramveer Tigers along with other international likes of Kjorn Ottley, Ian Cockbain, Max Waller, Delray Rawlins, Alex Blake, Elmore Hutchinson, Ravi Timbawala, Timil Patel, Japen Patel and others as well. In January 2020, on the first day of the 2019–20 West Indies Championship, he scored his maiden century in first-class cricket as well.
In June 2020, Mayers was selected as one of eleven reserve players in the West Indies Test squad, for their series against England. The Test series was slated to begin in May 2020 but was moved back to July 2020 due to the global pandemic novel COVID-19.
In July 2020, he was added to the Barbados Tridents squad for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League. In October 2020, he was also added to the West Indies Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against the Kiwis as well.
On his Test debut, Mayers scored a century to become the 14th batsman for the West Indies team to score a century on debut in the longer format. He finished his innings on an unbeaten 210, becoming the sixth batsman to score a double century on his Test debut as well and thus guiding the West Indies to a successful chase of 395, the fifth-largest in the history of the longer format as well. In May 2021, Mayers was awarded a maiden red-ball central contract from the West Indies Cricket board as well.
