Babar Azam was drafted into the Peshawar Zalmi for the 2023 edition of the PSL and he is the leader of the side, Wahab Riaz will be the vice-captain and the team has some exciting players like Tom Kohler Cadmore, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Rovman Powell, and Mujeeb Ur Rehman are some other international stars to keep an eye on. Zalmi have had a hot and cold season so far and would want to get consistency as we approach the business end of the tournament. Jimmy Neesham was brilliant in the last game, he was excellent with the ball and made a valuable contribution with bat which earned him the player of the match award. Peshawar Zalmi has been a very consistent team for the past few seasons but hasn’t been able to go all the way to lift the trophy, they will be hoping for a change in fortune this year.
On the other hand, Islamabad United have played only 1 game so far in the tournament and ended up on the winning side. The previous season, Islamabad United won just four out of ten games last season and managed to qualify for the playoffs due to a higher net run rate. They defeated the Kings twice last season, and the other two wins came against Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators. They lost the second eliminator game against Lahore Qalandars, which marked their exit. The United have retained almost all the players from last season and have added some key players. Moeen Ali will join the side in the later part of the tournament, while Rassie van der Dussen has been signed as his replacement. The have some exciting youngsters as well who will be raring to go out tomorrow. Abrar Ahmed, who had a great Test debut against England last year, is also a part of the squad, it will be interesting to see how effective the mystery bowler will be tomorrow.

PSL will be telecasted live on the Sony Sports Network and will be live-streamed on the Sony Liv app. The toss will take place at 7:30 PM IST and the Match will start at 8:00 PM IST.
