Lahore Qalandars will lock horns with Quetta Gladiators on the 2nd of March at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Former Pakistan skipper, Sarfaraz Ahmed will lead the Quetta Gladiators this season as well. England’s Jason Roy has been their best batter so far in the tournament. The likes of Martin Guptill and Iftikhar Ahmed are also available, Guptill scored a magnificent 100 last game and took his team over the line. Naseem Shah will be a huge part of the Gladiators’ attack, he has done exceeding well in the last couple of seasons and has replicated the form this season as well. Hasnain is another player who has delivered goods at crucial junctures of the game. Quetta has a brilliant spin attack as well, Hasaranga and Mohammad Nawaz will do the bulk of the bowling in middle overs.
Quetta Gladiators faced a heavy defeat in their first match against the Multan Sultans where they lost by 9 wickets but managed to win the next game. They went on to win their next game but lost to Peshawar on the 19th of February. They would want to win this encounter and get the all-important points as we head into the business end of the tournament. On the other hand, The Lahore Qalandars have been one of the strongest teams over the years in the PSL, the Qalandars are also the defending champions and have started this tournament well. They were a part of the tournament opener against the Multan Sultans and emerged victorious by a single run. However, they went on to lose their next game and would want to come back strong in this encounter against an in-form Islamabad Units unit. Lahore Qalandars will be led by the star Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, they also have Haris Rauf in the team alongside the exciting talent Zaman Khan.
