New Zealand won the T20I series by 3-0 and also won the opening ODI fixture by eight wickets. The 2nd ODI which was scheduled to be played on the 14th of December was abandoned due to rain. In the 1st ODI, right-arm pacer, Jess Kerr took four wickets to restrict Bangladesh to just 180/8 while bowling first despite a fantastic knock by captain Nigar Sultana who scored 73 runs. The other Bangladesh players need to take responsibility and make contributions in the 3rd ODI and look to level the series and end the series on a high note.

In reply, Suzie Bates took the hosts off to a brilliant start, the right-hand batter smashed 93 off 91 balls and Maddy Green scored 59. The white ferns won the match with eight wickets remaining in 31 overs. For Bangladesh, pacer Jahanara Alam took two wickets while conceding just 32 runs but other bowlers had a day to forget. Sophie Devine and Amelia Kerr haven’t lived up to the expectations of the team and would like to put in some valuable contributions in the 3rd ODI for New Zealand.
