The much-awaited Pakistan Super League kicked off on the 13 February and in the first match of the season, Multan Sultans lost the first match to Lahore Qalandars by 1 run in a cliffhanger. The 3rd match of the 8th edition of the Pakistan Super League unfolds tomorrow at Multan Cricket Stadium where Multan Sultans will take on the Quetta Gladiators. The match promises to go down to the wire as both teams are equally matched. Multan will be playing their 2nd match while the Gladiators will be playing their first match of the season.

Former Pakistan skipper, Sarfaraz Ahmed will lead the Quetta Gladiators in this season as well. England’s Jason Roy and Will Smeed could open the batting for the Gladiators and form a destructive partnership. The likes of Martin Guptill and Iftikhar Ahmed are also available meaning the line-up is not lacking in firepower. Naseem Shah will be a huge part of the Gladiators’ attack, he has done exceeding well in the in last couple of seasons. Quetta has a brilliant spin attack as well, Hasaranga and Mohammad Nawaz will do the bilk of the bowling in middle overs.

On the other hand, Mohammad Rizwan will lead the Multan Sultans which boasts of some big names like Keiron Pollard, Adil Rashid, Rilee Rossouw, Tim David, Akeal Hosein, David Miller, Josh Little and Wayne Parnell are the overseas recruitments. Khushdil Shah, Shan Masood and Shahnawaz Dahani are local internationals in the Sultans’ squad. They also have quality young players, such as Usama Mir, Usman Khan, Izharulhaq Naveed and Anwar Ali. Ihsanullah and Sameen Gul were very impressive in the first match and would want to contribute in this match as well.
