Gujarat Titans, who have had a great season this year, finishing at the top of the IPL 2023 points table, were defeated by CSK in Qualifier 1 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, in Chennai, on May 23. They faced a 15-run loss against CSK, which was their first defeat against the MS Dhoni-led CSK as well. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, finished in fourth place on the points table after a poor start to the competition. Notably, they are coming off a win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Eliminator of the IPL 2023, in Chennai, on May 24 as well.

The Indian Premier League will be telecasted live on the Star Sports network and will be live-streamed on the JioCinema app. The toss will take place at 7:00 PM IST and the Match will start at 7:30 PM IST on the 26th of May.
