Ravindra Jadeja surpassed MS Dhoni as the player to have completed the most run-outs in the history of IPL.

Ravindra Jadeja is considered one of the best fielders in world cricket, with his excellent reflexes and superb aim. Jadeja gave fans a glimpse of his skills on the field, during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 league encounter between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). The 32-year-old dismissed KL Rahul with a cracking direct hit, with only one stump to aim. While Jadeja certainly helped his team gain a sizeable advantage following the dismissal of the PBKS skipper, he also achieved a massive personal milestone.
The all-rounder has now surpassed MS Dhoni as the player to have completed the most run-outs in the history of IPL. Jadeja has completed 22 run-outs now, in comparison to 21 for the veteran cricketer.
Virat Kohli is placed on the third spot in the list of Top 5 players to have completed the most run-outs in the cash-rich league. Kohli has accounted for 19 of them. Suresh Raina and Manish Pandey round off the Top-5 list with 16 dismissals apiece.
Not only this, Jadeja further completed a sensational diving catch off Chris Gayle. The 32-year-old dived across to his right, after Gayle sliced a drive to the right of backward point, having failed to pick the change of pace in a knuckleball by Deepak Chahar.

Not only this, Jadeja also chipped in with an excellent spell of fours overs, conceding just 19 runs. The all-rounder has recently returned to competitive cricket, following an injury sustained during Team India’s tour of Australia.
CSK were defeated in their opening league encounter of IPL 2021 against Delhi Capitals (DC). The Delhi-based franchise emerged victorious by a margin of seven wickets, having been handed a target of 189 runs.
