IPL 2021: In pics, Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians, Match 13 at Chennai

Mumbai Indians suffered a six-wicket loss to Delhi Capitals in Chennai as Rishabh Pant’s team finally ended their four-game losing streak against the five-time champions.

Delhi Capitals endured heartbreak in the IPL 2020 as they lost four times to Mumbai Indians. This included the loss in the final of the tournament. Having started IPL 2020 with an even record of 12-12, Mumbai Indians now had a 16-12 advantage. However, in IPL 2021, Delhi Capitals finally broke the hoodoo as they won the match by six wickets. Amit Mishra was the star with 4/24 as Mumbai Indians collapsed. Mishra’s wickets included Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan. 

Having restricted Mumbai Indians to 138, Delhi Capitals started off strongly with Shikhar Dhawan and Steve Smith putting on a solid partnership. Despite a fightback from Mumbai Indians, Lalit Yadav played with maturity and got Delhi Capitals over the line. The win has pushed Delhi Capitals to the second spot behind Royal Challengers Bangalore.
