After winning both of their previous encounters, the Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Mumbai Indians (MI) will square off against each other in the 13th match of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL). While DC displayed a masterful batting performance against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) to chase down a total of 196, MI’s bowling attack stole the show against the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) as they successfully defended a humble target of 151. Both the games were characterized by brilliant individual performances which makes the potential individual battles in this particular match all the more exciting.

Here are the five key battles to look forward to in DC vs MI.

SHIKHAR DHAWAN VS JASPRIT BUMRAH

Two of India’s top cricketers in the world will square off at a time when both are in the form of their lives. Dhawan currently leads the race for the Orange Cap and scored a magnificent 92 against PBKS, while Bumrah picked a wicket and conceded only 14 runs in his four overs against SRH.

ROHIT SHARMA VS KAGISO RABADA

Masters of their crafts, both Rohit and Rabada are arguably the most crucial members of their respective sides. Both have a level of mastery in their craft that is comparable, and the contest between the two will be nothing short of exciting.

RISHABH PANT VS RAHUL CHAHAR

Chahar’s three-wicket haul and economical bowling against SRH made him the pick of the bowlers in the match, while Rishabh Pant’s explosive batting style is one of the most destructive in the IPL.

MARCUS STOINIS VS HARDIK PANDYA

The two all-rounders are quite similar when it comes to their skills in all three departments of the game. Both will look to lead their teams to victory and a contest between the two is potentially blockbuster.

TRENT BOULT VS PRITHVI SHAW

The Kiwi pacer took three wickets in the previous game against SRH and Prithvi Shaw’s explosive cameo against PBKS were both highlights of their respective games. Shaw would be looking for another explosive start while Boult will look to take early wickets.
