HERE ARE THE PREDICTED LINE-UPS:

CHENNAI SUPER KINGS:

Ruturaj Gaikwad: After failing to make an impact in the initial matches, Ruturaj (64 off 42 balls) looks to have found form against Kolkata Knight Riders, his excellent partnership with Faf Du Plessis helped CSK put up a huge total.

Faf Du Plessis: He has been a pillar for the CSK batting for quite a while now, Faf’s incredible 95* against KKR earned him the player of the match. He has been CSK’s top run-getter this season.

Moeen Ali: His addition to the CSK squad adds more depth in the batting and bowling departments. Moeen has been amongst the wickets and has scored some crucial runs with the bat.

Suresh Raina: Started off this edition with a half-century after missing the entirety of the last edition. He has been able to get the starts but has failed to convert it into a big score. CSK will be hoping for Raina to get some runs under his belt.

Ambati Rayudu: He hasn’t been at his best this edition, Rayadu is generally a very reliable batsman when it comes to scoring runs. He is yet to trouble the scorecard this season.

MS Dhoni (C and WK): We witnessed glimpses of the Dhoni we know against KKR, promoted himself up the order, Dhoni showed he has still got it in his locker.

Ravindra Jadeja: He continues to impress us with his exquisite fielding, batting and bowling efforts in the edition of IPL. Jadeja’s importance to the CSK squad is unmatchable.

Sam Curran: This talented English boy can bat and bowl at any stage of the match. Whether it be batting at number 3 or number 7, Sam can do it all. With the new ball, he can swing it both ways making him a key asset to this CSK squad.

Lungi Ngidi: Played his first match of this season against KKR. Picked up 3 crucial wickets which helped CSK seal the win.

Shardul Thakur: He has not had the best of starts in this IPL, has been pretty expensive in the matches played. He will be looking to improve his economy going ahead in this tournament.

Deepak Chahar: His incredible form continues, picked up another four-wicket haul this season against KKR. Sits second in the purple cap list, Deepak will want to prove his worth to the selection committee for the T20 world cup.

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE:

Devdutt Padikkal: He became the first RCB batsmen in years to score a hundred other than Kohli, ABD and Chris Gayle. His magnificent knock of 101* against RR showed us what a special talent he is.

Virat Kohli: Finally, King Kohli got his aura back, Kohli supported Padikkal’s innings with an impressive 72* from the other end. RCB have not lost a single game this season making them a worrisome opponent.

Mohammad Azharuddeen: Yet to make his IPL debut, Azharuddeen will be eyeing his opportunity against CSK. The hard-hitting batsman from Kerala has impressed with his performances at the domestic level, earning him a spot in the RCB squad.

AB de Villiers: ABD has been in great touch in this IPL, no surprises there. ABD has been an integral part of the RCB camp for years now, his leadership qualities and the talent he possess makes him a dangerous batsman all over the globe. The fans will be hoping to see some ABD magic against CSK

Glenn Maxwell: What an addition Maxwell has been to the RCB squad. He looks like a rejuvenated player this season after a horrible season with Punjab last edition. He has already managed to deliver match-winning performances, can’t wait to see him go up against CSK bowlers.

Kane Richardson: Played his first of this edition against Rajasthan. Only managed to bowl 3 overs picking up an important wicket of Shivam Dube. Will be interesting to watch how Virat will use him.

Washington Sundar: Has failed to emulate his performances from the recently concluded Australia and England series. Hasn’t been great with ball or bat. His performances might just tick every box for RCB this season.

Kyle Jamieson: The tall Kiwi bowler has been very impressive this season. Playing his maiden season of the IPL, he has added immense strength to the RCB bowling department. Kyle has been the quick of bowlers for RCB this season, he might prove to be the solution for RCB’s success this season.

Harshal Patel: What revelation he has been for RCB this season, with a 5-er against Mumbai in the inaugural match, Harshal continues his incredible bowling at the death. The holder of the Purple Cap continues to impress everyone with his variations at the back end.

Yuzvendra Chahal: He has failed to make an impact this season, Yuzi has been the best bowler RCB have had over the years. Still trying to make his mark this edition, he will be looking to bag wickets against CSK.

Mohammad Siraj: His improvement in the past 2 years has been massive, picked up 3 crucial wickets in the previous match against Rajasthan. Siraj provides RCB with the start they need, he manages to trouble the batsmen with the new ball. He can be the key to getting rid of the CSK openers.
