India’s Senior Women squad for the only Test match, ODI & T20I series against England announced

The All-India Senior Women’s Selection Committee on Friday announced the squad for the one-off Test match, ODI and T20I series against England. Mithali Raj is the captain of the squad for the Test match as well as the ODI series. Harmanpreet Kaur is the vice-captain. Smriti Mandhana, Punam Raut, Priya Punia, Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma are some of the names who have been named in the squad. Taniya Bhatia (wicket-keeper) and Indrani Roy (wicket-keeper) will be battling it out for the spot behind the wickets. Sneh Rana, Jhulan Goswami, Shikha Pandey, Pooja Vastrakar, Arundhati Reddy, Poonam Yadav, Ekta Bisht and Radha Yadav are the remaining players in the squad.

Shafali has earned her maiden call up to the Indian ODI and Test squad for the upcoming all format tour.

Harmanpreet to lead squad for T20I series

Harmanpreet will the captain of the squad for the T20I series with Smriti named as the vice-captain. Deepti, Jemimah, Shafali, Richa Ghosh, Harleen Deol, Sneh, Taniya, Indrani, Shikha, Pooja are some of the players included in the squad. Arundhati, Poonam, Ekta, Radha, Simaran Dil Bahadur are the other cricketers who comprise the squad for the T20I series.

Harleen and Simaran are two players have been given opportunities in the T20I series, but not for the Test and ODI series.

The tour of England will begin with a Test match set to be held at Bristol from June 16th to 19th. It will be followed by a three-match ODI series which will begin from June 27th and end on July 03. The tour will end following the conclusion of a three-match T20I series between July 09th and July 15th.
