The Indian cricket team will begin their series against Sri Lanka with three ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals. This side will be led by Shikhar Dhawan and the squad will include players who have excelled in the IPL and in the domestic tournaments in India. This series gives the likes of Prithvi Shaw, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devdutt Padikkal and other youngsters to continue their upward curve in international cricket. The series will also see players who did not get a chance for the tour of England to get a chance in a proper bilateral series.
