India lost to South Africa in Perth a few days ago, and a win is critical for them to keep their semifinal hopes alive and prevent last-minute snafus. Their major concern is the form of Rahul. KL Rahul of Team India has yet to score in double figures in the ongoing ICC men’s T20 World Cup 2022. The pressure is mounting on Rahul after India’s five-wicket loss to South Africa in their final Super 12 encounter on Sunday in Perth (October 30). However, the troubled opener received a significant lift ahead of India’s Super 12 encounter against Bangladesh on Wednesday in Adelaide (November 2).
“He is a fine player. KL Rahul has been battling well and these things happen in T20 cricket. We know his quality as a player. We are pretty confident of him doing well,” Dravid said in the pre-match press conference in Adelaide on Tuesday. “In both, Rohit (Sharma) and my mind there is no doubt who is going to be opening for us,” the head coach further added.
