Kolkata Knight Riders snapped their four-game losing streak in grand style as they defeated Punjab Kings by five wickets in Ahmedabad.

Kolkata Knight Riders headed into the clash against Punjab Kings at the bottom of the table in IPL 2021. However, a spirited bowling display from Shivam Mavi, Pat Cummins, Sunil Narine and Prasidh Krishna restricted Punjab Kings to 123/9. Mayank Agarwal contributed at the top but Chris Gayle was out first ball while KL Rahul struggled to 19 off 20 balls. Some big blows from Chris Jordan saw Punjab Kings cross 100. Kolkata Knight Riders also started their chase in nervous fashion with Nitish Rana, Shubman Gill and Sunil Narine falling cheaply.
