However, this has presented a big problem for Glenn Maxwell. Since he is getting married on March 27, this has ruled him out of the Pakistan series as well as the first few games of the IPL 2022 tournament. Along with Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Marsh, Pat Cummins, Marcus Stoinis, Josh Hazlewood, Matthew Wade, and Daniel Sams will all be unavailable for the first few games due to the series in Pakistan.

Glenn Maxwell Clears the Air About his Unavailability

Speaking to Fox Sports, Glenn Maxwell stated that a lot of things changed when he came for the Central Contract meeting with Cricket Australia. “Originally, when I organized the dates with Cricket Australia, there was a two-week gap where I could potentially have it. So, when I sorted that out, I was pretty happy that I was not going to miss any series. Then I came to the CA contract meeting midway through last year. They said this is when the Pakistan series is on and I thought that this has obviously changed,” Maxwell said.

Australia will play three Tests, three ODIs, and a Twenty20 International in Pakistan. This will be their first tour to the country since 1998. With the T20I ending on April 5, all the Australian players involved in the Pakistan series and the IPL might miss close to two weeks of action in IPL 2022.

But, apparently, that was ruined by Will Pucovski who was driving and waving to them at that point in time. However, she still went through with the proposal.
