Dehli Capitals will clash with the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 28th match of the IPL 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The Delhi Capitals started the season in the worst possible way, they lost 5 back to back games but have bounced back well with two back-to-back victories. David Warner has scored runs for his team but the strike rate has been an issue. Apart from him, other batters failed to gel up. Axar Patel has looked the man in form for the Capitals, he has done well with both bat and the ball. Prithvi Shaw has failed to impress and we could well see a change at the top of the order for Delhi Capitals. Axar Patel are in good form at the moment and is likely to play a key part against Sunrisers Hyderabad. It’s a must-win game for the Delhi Capitals if they want to have a chance to qualify for the playoffs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad on the other hand, are also languishing at the bottom half of the table. Aiden Markram has led the team well but they have been hot and cold throughout this season. Mayank Agarwal, Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi and Harry Brook have done well in patches, Brook has had a couple of failures after smashing a hundred. Washington Sundar was excellent in the last game but will miss out on the remaining season due to an injury. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Marco Jansen have been excellent with the ball. Both teams are well-balanced and this match promises to go down to the wire.

The pitch at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Chepauk has traditionally supported spin bowling. The batters have found it tough to get quick runs against spinners at this venue. The ball might do a little bit for the fast bowlers in the initial stages of the match as well, but it will get easier to bat as the match progresses. The batters need to get their eye in before going for the aggressive shots, they can take advantage of the short boundaries at this venue. The team winning the toss would be inclined to bowl first at this venue and chase the score down in the second innings with some dew expected.
