Women’s cricket has been added to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games (CWG) which has been taking place at the Edgbaston Stadium since July 29 and it will run until August 7. Meanwhile, the bronze and gold medal matches will be played on August 7 as well. However, the 9th match of the Commonwealth Games 2022 will take place between Australia Women and Pakistan Women at Edgbaston in Birmingham on August 3, Wednesday.

Australia are the winner of the T20 World Cup 2020 and they are the formidable side that hardly gets beaten by teams across formats. However, India gave them a tough fight in the campaign opener and were almost winning the game but a calm-headed Ashleigh Gardner and Grace Harris sealed the deal in the first and the second one was an easy win for them. With this, they have reached the semi as well. On the other hand, Pakistan has already been out of the race with two back-to-back defeats. While they lost to Barbados in the first game, they lost to India in the second. However, they will try to finish the tournament on a winning note as well.
