On January 9, Chattogram Challengers and Khulna Tigers will face off at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka with both teams looking to record their first victory in the current Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Both teams lost their season opener. The Tigers’ batting order fell apart like a house of cards in their previous game against the Dhaka Dominators. Yasir Ali, the captain, attempted to establish a middle-order partnership, but after 20 overs, the squad could only muster 113 runs. Mohammad Saifuddin, who is part of the bowling staff, secured two wickets.
The Bangladesh Premier League 2023 will include 7 teams. They are the Fortune Barishal, Khulna Tigers, Dhaka Dominators, Sylhet Striker, Rangpur Riders, and Chattogram Challengers. Each team in the league stage will compete in a total of 12 games. Throughout the competition, every team will play two games against other teams. The top four teams in the points standings at the conclusion of the league stage will advance to the playoffs.
