Bangladesh Women secure historic victory over India Women, despite losing series. In a significant turn of events, Bangladesh Women’s team achieved a memorable win over India Women by 4 wickets with 10 balls to spare. While India emerged as the series winners with a 2-1 scoreline, their batting performance in the last two games was disappointing. Chasing a target of 103 runs, Bangladesh Women faced an early setback with the loss of Rani’s wicket. However, it was Shamima Sultana who anchored the innings with a well-played 42 off 46 balls, playing a crucial role in their victory. Nigar Sultana contributed 14 runs, while Sultana Khatun scored 12. Nahida Akter and Ritu Moni remained unbeaten as they achieved the target.

The Indian bowlers put up a valiant effort in defending a low score. They tried their best to defend a low score. A couple of wickets apiece for Devika Vaidya and Minnu Mani while Jemimah got the other wicket. There was a runout as well. They tried hard, but were defending too low a target on this occasion. Earlier in the game, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and elected to bat first. However, India W lost their openers early, and despite Jemimah Rodrigues’ contribution of 28 runs and a solid knock of 40 by Harmanpreet Kaur, the innings lacked substance. The top order and lower middle order collapse restricted India to a modest total of 102/9 in 20 overs.
