Rohit Sharma-led Indian team defeated Pakistan and Hong Kong during the group stage and played against Pakistan in the Super Four Match 2 as well. On the other hand, Pakistan lost to India but defeated Hong Kong to finish as the second team in the group as well.
In the group league India vs Pakistan match, India crushed Pakistan by 5 wickets. While batting first, Pakistan was all-out for 147. Mohammad Rizwan scored the most 43 runs for his side. Meanwhile, India speedster Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed 4 wickets while Hardik Pandya picked up 3 wickets as well. During the chase, Team India opener KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma got out quickly. Virat Kohli scored 35 runs while Ravindra Jadeja also scored 35 runs. Hardik Pandya hit a quickfire 33 runs off 17 balls to grab a win. On the other hand, Sri Lanka won by 4 wickets against Afghanistan. Afghanistan put up 175 runs but Sri Lanka batters managed to chase down the total with 5 balls to spare.
