The ninth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League will be played from January 5 to February 16 in 2023. The draft for the league was held on November 23, 2022. Shakib Al Hasan will continue playing for Fortune Barishal and Mustafizur Rahman will play for his old franchise, Comilla Victorians. Tamim Iqbal, Mashrafe Mortaza, and Nurul Hasan will find new teams, in Khulna Tigers, Sylhet Strikers, and Rangpur Riders respectively. Some of the big names from International cricket will also be taking part in this league.

The BPL 2023 will be played under a double-robin round format where each team will play two matches. All the matches will play at three International venues in Bangladesh. The winning team will get two points and if the match is abandoned then the teams will share a point each. The finals will be held at Mirpur Stadium. Over the years, BPL has produced some high-octane drama and one can expect something similar this time around too.

The Afghanistan opening batter, Rahmanullah Gurbaz was grabbed by the Fortune Barishal franchise. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Nabi were bagged by Comilla Victorians. The Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka and the Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah will be seen playing for Khulna Tigers. Rangpur Riders will see 3 Pakistan players in their squad which are Shoaib Malik, Haris Rauf and Mohammad Nawaz. Here is the information on the live stream and squads for this upcoming league.
