Featuring the late Roy Jones Jr. Alongside Mandeep, Indian boxer Mandeep Jangra defeated American Ryan Rebar in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to win his fourth professional match via technical knockout. The silver medalist from the Commonwealth Games, who is 29 years old, went pro in 2020 and has a current record of 4-0. Mandeep recently signed a contract with Jones to compete professionally for the next three years, making him the first person from his country to do so. Mandeep’s first match with Jones was this one.

Being signed up by Jones is a huge boost for Arjuna Award winner Jangra, who defeated USA’s Brandon Sandoval in the lightweight division in his third professional fight in Plant City, Florida, last March.

Roy Moore Levesta Jones Jr. (born January 16, 1969) is a former professional boxer from the United States. He is also a citizen of Russia He competed in boxing from 1989 to 2018. Roy has won numerous world titles in four weight divisions, including middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight. He is the only boxer in history to begin his professional career at light middleweight and go on to win a heavyweight title. He participated in the 1988 Summer Olympics for the United States as an amateur, where he won a silver medal in the light middleweight division after one of the most contentious decisions in boxing history.

Mandeep Jangra

Mandeep is a native of Kharian in the Sirsa district of Haryana. Jangra, a silver medalist from the 2013 Asian Championship, dominated the fight and defeated his opponent, known in the pro boxing world as “Square Ring,” in the second round. Rebar entered their most recent match with a 3-0 record, just like Mandeep.

An amateur boxer from India, Mandeep Jangra was born on May 19, 1993. He took home the silver medal in the welterweight division at the 2013 Asian Amateur Boxing Championships. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, he competed for India in the same category and took home the silver medal. He received the esteemed Arjuna Award that year.

Indian boxer Akhil Kumar is Jangra’s coach, and the Anglian Medal Hunt Company is his financial backer. Other than winning the Arjuna Award and taking home a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Mandeep Jangra has made some notable accomplishments. He has won gold at the South Asian Games in 2016. He has also a silver at the Senior Asian Boxing Championship in 2013.
