Derrick Rose is an American professional basketball player who currently plays as a point guard for the New York Knicks in the NBA (National Basketball Association). At 6ft 2, Rose is 33-years of age and weighs approximately 91 kg. Derrick Rose’s playing style has helped him emerge as one of the best point-guards in the league today.
Born on 4th October, 1988 in Chicago, Illinois, Rose was raised by his mother, Brenda Rose. He began his high school career at Simeon Career in Chicago. Rose then proceeded to play for the Memphis Tigers at the University of Memphis. Having played in college for just a single season, Rose went on to get drafted for the 2008 NBA draft by none other than Chicago Bulls as their 1st round 1ST pick.
Rose played for the Bulls for eight long years, soon after which he joined the New York Knicks in 2016. But within a year’s time, we saw Rose make a switch in 2017 to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Then in 2018, he left the Cavaliers to play for the Minnesota Timberwolves for one whole season.
After a season with the Wolves, Rose went to play for the Detroit Pistons, under whom he played for two full seasons, eventually going back to the New York Knicks for the 2021-22 season.
