NBA Report: Garland and Allen record double double as Cleveland Cavaliers defeat Brooklyn Nets

Kyrie Irving led the nets on the night scoring 27 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists as Harden finished with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists.

Brooklyn Nets on a road trip to Cleveland as they squared off against the home team at Cleveland Cavaliers Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The Nets started the first quarter on a high, leading by one point at 31-30 the total was one shy of a season high first quarter total as the shooting was at 52.4 percent overall and three pointers were shot at 60 percent.

Cleveland then started off the second quarter on a strong note as they scored at the paint more frequently pounding an advantage of 28-10 as Allen and Mobley scored from the paint, Cavaliers ended the 1st half with a 6 point lead with the scoreline at 65-59.

Harden was the top performer at halftime as he weathered 12 points, three rebounds and six assists, Patty Mills shot 3 of 6 shots from the mid point range as he garnered 11 points in 16 minutes.

Harden and Kyrie’s duo’s counter attack couldn’t stop the Home team

The cavaliers grew their lead to nine points and were growing their lead while the nets counterattacked with their sharp shooting as Harden and Kyrie restricted the cavaliers with their strong display on the offensive end and Kyrie took over at the end of third quarter scoring a pair of three’s and towards the end the nets outscored their opponents by 7 points as the nets ended the third quarter with one point lead at 88-87.

Early burst in the fourth quarter from the Cavaliers put them ahead

Irving carried his burst early in the fourth quarter as coach Nash gave Kyrie a break at with the timer at 8:16 and Cavaliers shot 8-0 at this point heading into the lead, the nets counterattacked with a pair of three pointers and Harden with his free throws levelling at 105 each with 3 and half minutes left in the game.The nets missed five straight shots in the end moment which led as the cavaz cashed on it, dishing the points and ending the game with a seven point lead.

Darius Garland recorded a double double finishing with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists and was arguably the top performer for the home side Cleveland.

Jarrett Allen garnered 14 points,10 Rebounds and two assists and Isaac Okoro, Lauri Markkanen and Evan Mobley all scored in double figures with 15,14 and 12 points respectively.
