Switzerland vs Austria will take place at Site Sportif Saint-Leonard in a EuroBasket 2022 qualifier second-round Group E match on Thursday. Switzerland comes into this game on the back of a 68-62 win over Slovakia. The Swiss took control of the match from the get-go as they scored 19 points to Slovakia’s 16 in the first quarter. Switzerland finished the second quarter with 19 points as well compared to Slovakia’s 14. The third quarter saw both teams share 13 points each. Even though the Slovakians outscored the Swiss by two points in the fourth quarter, they could not win as the match ended 68-62 in favour of the Swiss.
On the other hand, Austria comes into this game on the back of a 78-49 win over Cyprus in their last game. Austria started off well in the first quarter and ended with a score of 19-15. In the second quarter, the Austrians blew away the opposition by scoring 18 points and only allowing Cyprus to score five points. Cyprus looked like making a comeback in the third as they scored 15 points but the Austrians scored 21 points of their own to take the score to 58-35. The game ended with a scoreline of 78-49 in favour of Austria.
