Even though the Slovakians outscored the Swiss by two points in the fourth quarter, they could not win as the match ended 68-62 in favour of the Swiss.
On the other hand, Austria comes into this game on the back of a 78-49 win over Cyprus in their last game. Austria started off well in the first quarter and ended with a score of 19-15. In the second quarter, the Austrians blew away the opposition by scoring 18 points and only allowing Cyprus to score five points. Cyprus looked like making a comeback in the third as they scored 15 points but the Austrians scored 21 points of their own to take the score to 58-35. The game ended with a scoreline of 78-49 in favour of Austria.
