Indonesia will take on Jordan in the FIBA Asia Cup on July 14. Amritpal Singh has seen firsthand the exponential growth of Indian basketball over the years. Being the vanguard of the national team that he is, the 30-year-old will now have the opportunity to see and compete against the future of his country in the FIBA Asia Cup in 2022. The 2.08 m (6′ 10″) center is scheduled to participate in what will be his fifth consecutive appearance for India in the continental championship. This accomplishment puts him on par with players like Hamed Haddadi and Zaid Abbas. With Vishesh Bhriguvanshi, who is sadly unable to participate here owing to an injury he sustained days before the event, Singh is essentially a big brother to this young team having played in the Asia Cup since 2011. Bhriguvanshi is a player who has seen action in the Asia Cup.

However, the seasoned large guy claimed that since everyone there views one another as equal, there is no such thing among them as an elder statesman or anything like that. Singh did however express his pleasure about the squad’s recent injection of younger talent, which he feels will help the program go ahead. One of them is Kushal Singh, 17, who is a player to keep an eye on at the Asia Cup after putting up a standout performance in the most recent U16 Asian Championship and earning a berth in the All-Star Five. The 1.95 M (6’5″) participant in the U16 Asian Championship in Qatar “) forward helped his team to a record fifth-place finish by averaging a tournament-third-best 22.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. Also noteworthy in the World Cup and Asia Cup Qualifiers was 20-year-old Sahaij Sekhon, who also has a potential 2.18M (7’2”) height “) big guy Aryan, just 19 years old.
