Yeremia Erich Yotje Yacob Rambitan was born on 15 October 1999. Rambitan initiated his badminton career with PB Kasih under the guidance of his father. In 2015, he moved on to the Ragunan Sports School with coach Luluk Hadiyanto and was eventually picked up by the Exist Jakarta team. In January, Rambitan, alongside Kusumawardana, competed in Thailand but succumbed in the first round of the 2020 Yonex Thailand Open and the second round to Ahsan and Setiawan at the 2020 Toyota Thailand Open.
During their European tour in March, the duo dropped out in the second round of the Swiss Open but triumphed in the 2021 Spain Masters for their inaugural win, overcoming fellow Indonesians Gutama and Isfahani. Come October, they advanced to the second round at the 2021 Denmark Open and clinched the Belgian International title, defeating Fikri and Maulana. In November, their journey at the 2021 Hylo Open ended in the semifinals against Carnando and Martin.
At the Indonesia Badminton Festival, they made it to the Indonesia Masters quarterfinals, ousted by Gideon and Sukamuljo, and exited in the second round of the Indonesia Open. Their path at the 2021 BWF World Tour Finals halted in the group stage with one victory. In June of 2023, Rambitan’s effort at the Singapore Open stopped short, losing in the second round to Malaysia’s 8th seeds, Ong and Teo, in a straight-set affair. Back on home ground for the Indonesia Open, he and his partner reached the semifinals but were narrowly bested by the 2nd seed Malaysians, Chia, and Soh.
The following month at the Korea Open, they again were stopped in the second round by Japan’s 5th seeds, Hoki and Kobayashi, in consecutive games. Their challenge at the 2023 Japan Open was also brief, falling in the first round to China’s 2nd seeds, Liang and Wang. Finally, at the Australian Open in early August, their match ended in the quarterfinals against Hoki and Kobayashi, the 3rd seed Japanese pair, in straight games.
