Sprinter Dina Asher-Smith is the current holder of the 100- and 200-meter British records. She was born on 4 December, 1995, in Orpington, London. She studied at King’s College in London and was a member of the King’s Sport Performance Athlete program, which helped student-athletes compete at the highest level. Dina was the youngest member of Great Britain and Northern Ireland squad at the World Championships in Moscow in 2013. She delivered by assisting the 4 X 100 meter relay team to a bronze medal.
Dina showed early potential as a sprinter, winning the English Schools Championships 200m title as an Under 15 (2010), Under 17 (2011), and Under 20 (2013), as well as gold medals in the 200m and 4x100m relay in the European Junior Championships in 2013. Along with winning the 200 m championship in 2016 and the 100 m/200 m double in 2018, Asher-Smith is a three-time individual European champion. In addition, in 2022, she won silver in the 200 m.
