American track and field athlete Valarie Carolyn Allman, also referred to as Valarie Allman, excels in the discus throw. She is the current Olympic champion following a gigantic throw of 68.98 metres in the finals to win the gold medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics. Allman is a seven-time All-American at Stanford University. Valarie Allman is now serving as a volunteer assistant track and field coach since 2018-19 at the University of Texas. She started her professional career recently and trains in Austin with Longhorns assistant coach Zebulon Sion. She completed a stellar career at Stanford, where she established the school record in the discus throw. During the 2018 USATF Outdoor Championships, she took home the gold medal.
The native of Delaware holds many illustrious records, including the North American record of 71.46 meters (234 feet 5 inches), which was set at the Triton Invitational in San Diego in April 2022. This is also the best throw in the world in the previous thirty years. She also boasts eight of the top ten discus throws in American history as well as fourteen of the top fifteen, all of which occurred in the previous two years. With a throw of 70.01 meters (229 feet, 8 inches) in 2021, she is also the current holder of the Hayward Field record. Many analysts predict that Valarie will smash the world record in the future. The current record is under the name of Gabriele Reinsch, who set the record with a throw of 76.80 meters (252 feet, 0 inches) in 1988.
