Shericka Jackson is a Jamaican sprinter who specializes in 100 m, 200 m, and 400 m disciplines. In addition, she is a three-time world champion, having won the gold medals in 200m (Eugene 2022) and two golds in 4 X100m relay (in 2015 and 2019). She has personal bests of 10.71 s in 100 m, 21.45 in 200 m, and 49.47 in 400m competitions. According to the world athletics rankings, she is presently the world number one 1 in women’s 200 m discipline, while ranks number 2 in the women’s 100 m and overall ranking.

At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she took part in the historic 200-meter sweep and won a bronze medal in her new 100 m event. Shericka’s original event of preference was the 400-meter sprint, but in 2021 she switched to the 100- and 200-meter sprints and found immediate success. She is currently among the top athletes of the world, having won eight world championship medals and five Olympic medals. She is a two-time Olympian and has won five Olympic medals in her career, which includes a gold in 4 X100 m relay race.

In 2017, PUMA, a long-time partner of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association and the Jamaica Olympic Association, added seven MVP Track Club athletes to its contract, including Olympic silver medalist Shericka Jackson, World Championships medalist O’Dayne Richards, Janieve Russell, Christania Williams, Julian Forte, Rusheen McDonald, and Megan Simmonds. This was her first-ever brand contract.

Shericka Jackson achieved another key professional milestone by becoming the Scotia Group’s first brand ambassador which was also her second contract. When Jackson signed her first local corporate endorsement deal on February 17, 2022, at the Scotia Centre in Downtown Kingston, she established her place in the Bank’s 132-year history in Jamaica.
